Current Issues in Washington CRE (CORE) 2026–27
This course provides commercial real estate brokers with a comprehensive overview of foundational concepts, evolving legal frameworks, and current issues impacting brokerage practice in Washington.
By the end of this course, brokers will be able to interpret relevant facts and principles, apply laws and theories to real-world scenarios, and demonstrate correct usage of required methods and procedures in their day-to-day practice.
Upon completion of this course, brokers will be able to:

Explain the history and evolution of agency law in Washington and identify and apply the 2024 revisions to Washington agency law

Analyze current legal issues and trends affecting competition and compensation in commercial brokerage

Recognize the importance of maintaining a complete and compliant transaction log/file

Understand statutory requirements for brokers with less than two years of experience

Apply key Washington case law principles to practical brokerage situations

Describe common organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities within real estate practice and identify common real estate practices and industry standards
