By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and evaluate target markets for major commercial property types.
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate the four primary listing agreements and three primary leasing agreement structures.
- Calculate and explain common methods for allocating common area maintenance (CAM) and operating expenses to tenants.
- Develop a complete and competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) when representing tenants.
- Apply practical leasing strategies to manage risk, protect client interests, and build a successful commercial leasing practice.
Outcome:
Participants will leave with a practical, working knowledge of the core issues, documents, and strategies needed to accelerate success in commercial leasing.
Instructor: Richard Muhlebach
Richard has 50 years of experience marketing and leasing shopping centers, regional malls, office, and medical buildings in Seattle and San Francisco. He served as the vice president of three development companies and the president of a management and leasing firm he founded.
